Autostarting TightVNC

  1. Check this link for how to configure RPi to autostart TightVNC after reboot but Raspbian must be configured to boot into the desktop for this to work.
Issue: But it don’t quite work yet! Another one to troubleshoot when I have time – if ever!.
  2. This link works for booting into the console only but starts the desktop as root, not sure that’s a good idea for normal use?

Firmware Updates

  1. Its a good idea to update the firmware occasionally using the command sudo rpi-update followed by a reboot.
